RC-135 Airborne System Engineer 5 Instructor
Instruct US Air Force students in the crew duties and responsibilities for the RC-135 Airborne System Engineer (ASE) 5 position. Prepare students to provide the best possible mission system for operators to accomplish their mission by repairing and maintaining mission systems and equipment. Prepare and deliver a course of airborne instruction scenarios, evaluate training, and develop training to meet current and evolving needs, including liquid cooling system, electrical power distribution, emergency equipment and procedures, navigation and timing signals distribution, aircraft interphone communication systems, maintenance test and support equipment, data storage systems, aircraft networking, operator workstation troubleshooting and operation, and audio, video, and signals distribution. Develop and provide position and mission training to ASE 5 trainees and other airborne positions for RC-135 training activities. This position is located in Omaha, NE.
-Experience as a 1A3 Airborne Systems Engineer 5 instructor
-Experience with 500 hours airborne time as a 1A3 Airborne Systems Engineer 5
-Experience with crew coordination
-Ability to perform airborne training activities
-HS diploma or GED
-FAA Class 3 or current Military Class III Flight Physical
-4 years of experience with RC-135 external communications equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
-4 years of experience with RC-135 communications security equipment
-4 years of experience with RC-135 COMINT collection equipment maintenance
-2 years of experience as an Air Force Airborne System Engineer instructor
-Experience with special signals equipment maintenance
-Experience with Air Force information and communication networks
-Knowledge of the RC-135 enterprise
-Ability to react quickly
-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
