The Afghan National Army Engineer School (ANES) HVAC Instructor is a full-time, exempt position working on the ETSC contract. This position is located at Mazir-e Sharif, Afghanistan.
The HVAC instructor will provide ANA students with necessary skills to safely prepare, and repair existing HVAC units as well as safety requirements and precautions in handling HVAC equipment. The instructor will primarily focus on the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of current HVAC units installed across occupied facilities throughout Afghanistan and will include instruction and practical application on key areas to include HVAC system operations, troubleshooting and repairs, safety considerations, basic circuitry and electrical hazards, and maintenance.
- Retired or former military officers (including Noncommissioned Officer, Commissioned Officer, Warrant Officer) or civilian equivalency with extensive experience working in a military construction engineer unit.
- Minimum of 5 year’s experience in HVAC maintenance as well as an aptitude and ability to provide instruction to Afghan soldiers with interpreter assistance.
- Valid US passport and ability to live and work in Afghanistan.
- May be required to successfully complete CRC for deployment to Afghanistan.
