English Language Training ManagerKey Role:
Oversee project development by pragmatic management. Preserve a cross-culturally sensitive, educational culture that has a regular onsite presence. Supervise, mentor, and motivate a community of English language specialists to standardize and sustain each classroom's ELT communicative capability and reinforce purposeful Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) with educational, open-source solutions for enrichment e-learning activities. Monitor and facilitate military students' effective and efficient throughput for operational readiness by employing the American Language Course (ALC) curricula from the Defense Language Institute (DLI). Maintain responsibility to submit program record and write progress reports, as required by Booz Allen Hamilton’s location leadership. Interface and develop strategic partnerships with foreign military flag officers, including providing status and general advisory support as directed by the US government client.
-5+ years of experience as an English language trainer instructing students in military programs
-5+ years of experience with classroom instruction as an English language teacher (ELT)
-Experience with managing an intensive English Language Training program
-Experience in advising and liaising with senior military officials in an ELT program
-Experience with Defense Language Institutes American Language Course
-Ability to show proficiency in the English language
-Ability to edit and critique language materials and program deliverables
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree in ESL, EFL, Linguistics, Educational Technology, Foreign Language Education, or another closely related field
-Experience with instruction or training in English for specialized purposes including basic to advanced English language delivery to military students or relevant Occupational English specializations in advanced technical English used in military platform environments
-Ability to show proficiency with the Arabic language
-MA degree in TESL/TEFL, Applied Linguistics or Sociolinguistics, Global Management, Instructional Technology, Foreign Language Education, Project Management, or another closely related field
-TESOL Certification from accredited, US academic or residential program, including CELTA, Trinity TESOL, LTCL. Dip.TESOL, or DELTA
-Military Science, Project Management, or International Relations Certification
-Military or War College diploma
