Collective Training Exercise PlannerKey Role:

Assist US Army Reserve training staff with the development of exercise design for all USARC-directed exercises or training events. Perform exercise development tasks to complement team efforts to properly design, plan, prepare, coordinate, and execute assigned exercises and training events, as necessary, coordinate with Operational and Functional Commands for their participation and support, and assist the Training Divisions, as directed. Build events in support of the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) and simulation injects for integration into the Live, Virtual, Constructive, (LVC) environment. Plan or participate in Concept Development Conferences, Initial Planning Conferences, Mid Planning Conferences, and Final Planning Conferences for assigned exercises, as directed. Prepare briefings and other required materials. Serve as a member of the EXCON Cell, Scenario Cell, or Observer/Trainer/Analyst Support Cell, during event execution, as required. Leverage knowledge of and experience with Army operations and training, including military doctrine, current tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and force structure to incorporate training units into the exercise. Work in a highly intense IT environment and maximize the use of Mission Command Systems, other Battle Command Systems, training aids, devices, simulations and simulators (TADSS), mission-specific digital systems and tools, and other available IT assets in the conduct of mission support.

Basic Qualifications:

-8 years of experience in directly related training with Army Combat Arms, Combat Support, or Combat Service Support organizations

-Experience with training Army units in both small unit live environments, including Lanes/STX or in command and staff constructive environments, including CPX at Battalion and Brigade levels

-Knowledge of Mission Command (MC) systems

-Knowledge of the principles, methods, processes, and applicable regulations involved in supporting military operations

-Knowledge of military training, doctrine, planning and, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs), and force structure to design exercises that meet doctrinal requirements

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as an Observer Coach/Trainer (OC/T), Simulation Operations Officer (FA 57A or CP36), or Army Planner (FA 59)

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

-Knowledge of the following systems: FMS Web, CATS, ATN, DTMS, and JTIMS

-BA or BS degree
